McKinley Park News – Back on the right foot
I wanted to share some good news with the readers of the McKinley Park News on a personal health issue that had a significant negative impact on our solopreneur-focused publishing schedule for the first half of this year.
As I shared in a letter to the editor last January, I seriously injured my leg in a fall while on vacation. A wrong initial diagnosis, improper treatment, and clinical error more than doubled the expected time it would take me to get back on my feet.
Fortunately, the Doctor’s latest update (as of today) shows the current recovery ahead of schedule, confirming my ability to actively return to the community for reporting, news coverage and business growth. I’m still revving up to full speed, but I’m so happy to get out there and report our neighborhood news, and see all of our friends and neighbors again.
I particularly appreciate your patience, dear reader, as we return to a full news publishing schedule, and especially the subscribers, sponsors and other supporters who help us build a viable micro-local news business. Throughout this ordeal, we’ve kept the website running and our core content up-to-date, including neighborhood calendars and event listings, and subscriber features such as Notable Arrests , crime reports and building permits.
Thank you very much for your continued support. We look forward to sharing more neighborhood news and events with you. All my wishes!
