RSU 2 Superintendent will host forums May 10-12

Matt Gilbert, the new regional school unit 2 superintendent, is expected to hold community forums in Hallowell, Richmond and Monmouth ahead of the June school budget vote, in a bid to connect with community stakeholders who have a direct interest in the success of these schools.

Those who attend can hear about the district’s budget, future plans and celebrations. They can ask Gilbert questions about these topics, according to a press release from RSU 2.

According to Gilbert, “Engaging our communities in our education system strengthens our community and provides mutual benefits. I am very passionate about the work that RSU2 does and these morning meetings will be part of other forums that will be planned for the near future.

Refreshments will be served.

The forums will take place at 9am at the following dates and locations: Tuesday, May 10, at Cumston Hall, 796 Main St, Monmouth; Wednesday, May 11, Cohen Senior Center, 22 Town Farm Road, Hallowell; and Thursday, May 12, Richmond Area Senior Center, 314 Front St.
